Car Park Attendant – Casual

We’re looking for a friendly, reliable Car Park Attendant to join the team at our beautiful West Hobart store.

This role is all about creating a safe, welcoming first (and last) impression for our customers. If you enjoy working outdoors, engaging with people, and helping things run smoothly during busy periods, we’d love to hear from you.

As a Car Park Attendant, you’ll play an important part in the customer experience by:

• Safely directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic

• Assisting customers with parking and loading when required

• Monitoring car park safety and flow during busy periods

• Communicating clearly with customers and team members

• Following all workplace health and safety procedures

 What You’ll bring:

• A current driver’s licence

• A friendly, welcoming attitude and strong communication skills

• Confidence interacting with customers and colleagues

• Good spatial awareness and the ability to direct traffic safely

• Energy, initiative, and a willingness to take direction

• A strong focus on safety and following procedures

• Physical fitness for standing and some lifting

• Knowledge of traffic control signals (desirable)

Availability

• Ongoing daytime availability across 3–4 days per week

• Availability to work every second weekend

• Your roster will be agreed based on your availability and operational needs, with flexibility where possible

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The 2025-26 base hourly pay rates for level 1 adults are:

Full time & part time

• Weekdays $26.55

• Saturday $33.19

• Sunday $39.83

Additional penalty rates may apply to weekends and public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts. (Casual employees also receive a casual loading, increasing their base pay rate).
