Deli Team Member - Full Time

Are you a chef or cook ready to step away from late nights and split shifts, but still want to work with great food?

We’re looking for an experienced Deli Team Member or Chef/Cook to join our Sandy Bay Deli team in a full-time role. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with kitchen or deli experience who’s keen for better work-life balance, consistent hours, and a supportive team environment.

What you'll have:

• At least 1 year of experience working in a deli, or as a chef or cook

• Strong customer service skills (highly desirable)

• A friendly attitude and good communication skills to deliver the attentive customer service Hill Street is known for

• Comfort handling meat and seafood (both cooked and uncooked)

• A genuine enjoyment of working with people, customers and colleagues alike

• Energy, initiative, and the ability to take direction

• The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly around food safety and workplace health & safety

• Ongoing daytime availability across 3–4 days per week plus every second weekend. Your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements, with flexibility where possible

• Physical fitness for standing and lifting

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. This role is classified between Level 1 and Level 4, with a base hourly rate of $26.55 – $28.12, depending on skills and experience.

Additional penalty rates may apply to weekends and public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts.
