Team Member / Duty Manager - Full Time

This role is ideal for someone ready to take the next step - combining hands-on work with opportunities to lead shifts and build leadership capability.
About the Role
This is a multi-skilled position, where you’ll work across the store as part of the team while also taking responsibility for running shifts (including closes) when required.
You’ll support the leadership team and step up to take ownership of the store during Duty Manager shifts.
What you'll need:
A friendly attitude and good communication skills to provide the attentive customer service Hill Street is known for.
A love of working with food and people (both colleagues and customers)
Energy, initiative and willingness to take direction.
Ability to lead the store during allocated Duty Manager shifts (including opening/closing)
Experience supporting team members and help coordinate workflow during shifts
Professional communication skills to communicate with the Store Manager and leadership team
The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safety.
Ongoing daytime availability on at least 3-4 days per week and every second weekend. Your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements, with flexibility to suit your needs.
Physical fitness for lifting and standing.

Has retail experience (leadership experience is a bonus)
Is confident working independently and making decisions
Has strong communication and people skills
Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
Is flexible and available to work a rotating roster, including evenings and weekends

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. Your base classification will align with your primary duties. When performing higher-level duties (such as Duty Manager shifts), higher rates of pay will apply in line with the Award.
The 2025-26 base hourly pay rates for full level 1 adults are:
Weekdays $26.55
Saturday $33.19
Sunday $39.83
The 2025-26 base hourly pay rates for full time level 3 adults are:
Weekdays $27.58
Saturday $34.48
Sunday $41.37
Additional penalty rates may apply to weekends and public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts. (Casual employees also receive a casual loading, increasing their base pay rate).
