🥩 We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Butchery Team Member to join our Devonport team on a full-time basis! 

If you have experience in fresh food or deli department, along with a passion for customer service, we would love to hear from you.

As a Butchery Team Member, you'll thrive in our fast-paced environment, supporting the meat room, maintaining displays, and ensuring top-notch service and hygiene. You'll be the go-to for customers in our meat section, offering advice, recommendations, and exceptional service.

🥩 What you'll do:

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service.
• Assist with meat slicing, packaging, and product displays.
• Operate scales, registers, and other equipment accurately.
• Uphold food safety and hygiene standards.
• Support stocktakes, stock levels and storage organisation.

🥩 What you'll need:

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• A team player with a positive attitude and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 15kg frequently, 55kg occasionally in line with Australian Work Safe standards).
• Experience with meat handling, slicing, or retail (desirable but not essential).
• Relevant food safety and WH&S knowledge.
• Willingness to handle and cut/slice cold meats, smallgoods, fresh meats and seafood.

Pay rates are set by the General Retail Industry Award. The 2024-25 base hourly pay rates for level 1 team member adults are:

 Full time & part time

• Weekdays $25.65
• Saturday $32.06
• Sunday $38.48

Additional penalty rates apply to public holidays and some overtime and early morning shifts. Please view the full Award for all applicable rates and allowances.
